Vegas Local
is a made-for-television documentary exploring
off-Strip Las Vegas casinos. The project was shot in
HD (High Definition) format using
the Sony HDW-F900 CineAlta camera and totals 44 minutes
and 20 seconds in
length, which equals one hour in television programming
time.
The
documentary explores the off-Strip Las Vegas
casinos that do not get the attention and media coverage
of those on “The Strip” and Fremont Street. We visit the casino
properties, view hotel accommodations, and conduct
interviews with casino personnel. Additionally, Vegas
Local stops by the PCI Dealer School, where we find out
how casino dealers get their training.
We’ll see the attractions each casino has to offer, any
travel, hotel, food, gambling, and souvenir bargains that
are available, receive gambling and gambling etiquette
tips from dealers, and find out why local patrons
and budget conscious travelers choose these casinos over the mega-resorts on “The
Strip”.
